Family Liaison Support

The Family Liaison service is at the core of our work with families providing support to carers of children and adults with a learning disability/ASC in Wokingham and transition age and adults with a learning disability/ASC in Bracknell Forest. The team aim to support, encourage and empower families to make the most of life. We work across both Wokingham and Bracknell Forest Boroughs providing a 'listening ear', home visits, practical support and information on benefits and respite activities.

Emotional support:

  • Having someone to listen
  • Having someone to talk to
  • Support in review meetings or meetings with social services
  • A person who can liaise with other agencies on your behalf

Practical support:

  • Help completing benefit forms
  • Help understanding the benefits that you or your family may be entitled to
  • Information on
    • respite care
    • social opportunities
    • the transition process
    • housing options
    • personal budgets

If you feel like you or someone you know would like support from our trained Family Liaison Workers then contact us for more information.
